Yesterday I asked if Princess Beatrice should have celebrated the Lionesses’ Euros win in the assembled crowd at Buckingham Palace.

Eighty-three per cent of you said yes but I’m with the 17 per cent of you said no. Security-wise, I think she was a bit exposed, especially with her new baby in tow.

As you will have read, Princess Catherine’s exhibition at the East V&A storehouse launched today.

She is the first royal patron of the V&A, apt given her History of Art degree.

I’m always pleasantly surprised by the array of skills she possesses, ranging from sport and music to now, exhibition curation!

Princess Catherine treated royal fans to a video on Instagram to promote the collection.

My favourite objects were a watercolour by one of my favourite children’s authors, Beatrix Potter, and a gorgeous fairy costume from a 1960s ballet.
