Would you welcome Prince Harry back into the royal family?
The Duke of Sussex is back on UK soil today
Hello, Royal Clubbers, it’s Millie here. Last week, we shared Emily Nash’s observations from her time spent with Prince Harry at the 2024 WellChild Awards.
I would encourage you read the piece in full if you missed it, but here’s a snippet…
You’d be forgiven for thinking nothing had changed. As he sat joking and playing with youngsters in the family room, he was clearly in his element, just as he always is around young children.
He arrived fully briefed, clearly having read up on everyone he was about to meet. Once inside, he looked happy and relaxed, smiling for photos, saying hello to familiar faces (including me!) and generally doing what he does best, which is to connect with people and shine a light on their achievements and concerns.
Reading this, it did give me such a feeling of nostalgia for the ‘good old days’ when Prince Harry was a working member of the royal family.
Working alongside his brother and Princess Catherine, there was a real sense of camaraderie and unity that we haven’t seen in many years.
The combined star power of the trio certainly helped bring attention to causes close to their hearts, like their work in 2016 with Heads Together, a joint initiative focused on changing the conversation around mental health to address issues like bullying and mental health.
Events like WellChild, where we see Prince Harry in his element, always remind me of what the royals have lost.
Prior to his sunderance from the royal family, Prince Harry was always among the most popular senior royals, known for his modern approach, friendliness and passion for his work, especially with military veterans after his own experience in the Armed Forces.
It seems that many of you Royal Clubbers still remember the years of work put in by Prince Harry during his time as a senior royal, with 45 per cent of you glad to see him back in the UK this week. Admittedly 35 per cent take the opposite stance while 21 per cent are indifferent – so the Duke remains a divisive figure.
This being said, I was actually surprised those in the anti-Harry camp didn’t hold sway. It got me thinking that in spite of the events of recent years, Harry’s value to the royal family and the charities he supports should not be readily dismissed.
So over to you, Royal Clubbers. Would you welcome Prince Harry back into a formal role within the royal family? Let me know by voting in the poll below, and I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

I would never welcome Harry back unless he TOTALLY divorced Meghan. She is a destructive force wherever she goes.
I think it is a very personable character and would be valuable to the Royals. However he has crossed the line with what he says and has written about the family. His words and accusations can never be forgotten. They will always haunt him. He cannot be trusted anymore. This is a true shame because he smeared his brother and sister-in-law’s good name and actions. How can he take that back and expect them to trust him ever again?
