I would never welcome Harry back unless he TOTALLY divorced Meghan. She is a destructive force wherever she goes.

June - isn't it wonderful that you would not be the one to make that decision! You don't even know Meghan and how much she is loved over here in California.

Thanks Izzy! Meghan has been on the receiving end of some nasty comments....mostly generated - I assume - by racism. Harry did the right thing - first protecting his beloved family!

Why, all he did was tell the truth. As for Meagan, well, we all know why she’s disliked. But what about those 2 beautiful children? The only destructive force I see is all this racism directed at Meagan, but hey, that’s just me.

I agree with you, June. Meghan is a destructive, reprehensible person. I don’t believe for a second anyone was “racist” against them. And harry?? What a horrible thing he did to the family that loved and protected him. IMO, he is a traitor to the crown. Besides, it was all a ploy, to somehow, get the King to give them more money. They have not quit bellyaching since that “freedom flight.” Besides, Ann and Izzy, if it was SO awful, why come back? Why not stay in America? They want, NEED money…that’s why they want to come back. Harry now recognizes how easy he had it.

I think it is a very personable character and would be valuable to the Royals. However he has crossed the line with what he says and has written about the family. His words and accusations can never be forgotten. They will always haunt him. He cannot be trusted anymore. This is a true shame because he smeared his brother and sister-in-law’s good name and actions. How can he take that back and expect them to trust him ever again?

Norma Hornby's avatar

Patricia you are so right in what you say, Harry cannot be trusted any more and his cruel treatment of our late Queen Elizabeth ll and Prince Philip when they were at the end of their lives is unforgivable. Harry will ruin Prince William’s reign when the time comes and given his track record he is not to be trusted near William and Catherine’s children

I think he should be set down and be told what to do. Let him know he can't do what he has done in the past. It would be a time to see if he could be trusted. One mistake and he would be gone. He needs to make up tp PC and PW.

Some very sound and practical suggestions here but in my opinion Harry is a very damaged man who has presented mental health issues for years. He appears to have been protected from publicity regarding his additions and his treatment of women when he was in the armed services and the word trust is an anathema to him.

You are so right. The Royal Family did not deserve the smear campaign instigated by Prince Harry and Meghan.

Can you say 'opportunistic'? He was happy to cash in on HIS version of events knowing that the Royal Family would not publicly rebut his claims. Now that Hollywood entertainment funds have dried up and H and M are yesterday's celebrities, he wants to attach himself to the Royal money flow again. Damage done; live with the consequences.

It has nothing to do with hatred. Prince Harry and his children were born into Royalty, Megan does not seem to accept this fact. She should be happy knowing her children will live a lifetime of opportunity and recognition and she could be a huge part of it.

Harry suddenly was desperate for a reconciliation with King Charles after it was on the internet that he was going to be out of the inner royal circle permanently and cut out of King Charles’ will. Most of the interviews and polls I see concerning Harry the vast majority of the British public don’t want the Sussexes back as Working Royals and don’t even consider them royals anymore. People working for Invictus want them out of Invictus because they bring too much drama. They want them stripped of all royal titles, associations and connections to the royal family. If they want a personal, private relationship with King Charles ok but no more Royal titles. In the last 5+ years, the Sussexes have proven they are traitors, narcissists, liars, grifters and they are so conceited they think they are entitled. And they are both so jealous of William and Kate because they will never be more important than them or equal to them, they can’t see straight. But the most important thing the Sussexes have proven over the past 5+ years is that they couldn’t be trusted 5+ years ago, can’t be trusted now and will never, ever, ever be able to be trusted in the future! Plus they owe public apologies to King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, Princess Kate, the rest of the royal family, and the British citizens for their deplorable behavior the last 5+ years!!!!!

As a Canadian I say never. Megan is not and never will be a princess, no matter how hard harry tries. As for harry himself, nice words but meaningless...you can't spit in the face of your family, the firm or your ancestry bor can you continually bite the hand that fed you. Once upon a time he earned his place on the balcony....nothing he has done since his explicit " abdication " earns him a place in the lineup going forward.

I cannot see him back in the family with all the hurt and exposure he has given them. I do believe that if he meets with his father and wants a father and son relationship it would be good for them, but if he turns it into a publicity stunt it would end him. He has to many bridges to build and so far has failed and is only drowning. He needs to stand on his own two feet and leave his wife out of it to toxic.

he made his choices - moving on to pursue other choices is one thing, but to mock & disrespect his family and all that the Queen worked so hard for 70 years to ensure the life of the monarchy, is unforgivable. he should have thought before he spoke & wrote a book. He made a very bad choice for a wife>

Harry has always been treated like the second fiddle. I would have been angry too! I think he wrote the book out of sheer frustration...maybe mistakenly. He moved to the USA to spare his beloved Meghan the racism that exists in the so-called royal family. He obviously want to reconcile....isn't that the right thing for everyone?

Of course Meghan was not familiar with royal protocols... Of course she wanted success....that is a given with her profession. (By the way - I was born and raised in the UK ....now with dual. nationality...never particularly like the idea of "royals"....I prefer to elect my leaders). It takes a long time to learn how to "be" a royal. Kate came from a nice family but she is adapting well. Of course she is caucasian and that makes a huge difference with the german, dutch, russian, french genes in the royal family. Harry has plenty of money - in his own right AND inherited from his mother.

How do you know what’s true and not true?? You talk as if Harry is not a grown man and had no choice. Seems to me you will say anything to make Meagan look bad. Anything. Wonder why!! I wouldn’t want my children raised around all that hatefulness either. They are young now, but when they get older does anyone consider how all this hate aimed at their mother will affect them, or will people find a way to blame Meagan for that too. All this is just sickening and pathetic.

You know Ann, all these hateful, racist people can’t see that what they’re saying is the very reason he has done what he’s done. Also, maybe he can’t forget what was done to his mother and how they have accepted Camilla with open arms like nothing happened. The fact Meagan lost a child. All the nasty things that was and still is being said about Meagan just because of the color of her skin. Does Queen Charlotte mean anything to anyone?? I don’t think Meagan held a gun to Harry’s head to make him love ❤️ her. Personally I think Harry sees the treatment his mother endured happening to his wife and he’s not going to allow it, he’s standing up to all the hatred and protecting his family, something his father wasn’t man enough to do. People need to read up on the history of the royals, all of it, then people will see how far from noble they truly are. I think people should just leave them alone because really, all the nasty, hateful, racist comments being said about Harry and Meagan only proves one thing, there’s a lot of people out there who are beneath Harry and Meagan and that beautiful family I mean after all, they aren’t spewing hate, they are living life in love.

Camilla and Charles were in love for decades but under the "code" royals cannot marry divorced people....sadly.....so he was not allowed to marry Camilla....or any "non-virgin" back then. It must have been rough on all three of them...not that I am excusing cheating. Queen Charlotte was an exceptional person. I cannot be more sad for both Harry and William....many cruel things were spoken/written by both of them....but they need each other and they have family as well on both sides. Charles had a very difficult life....Prince Philip was rough on him. (I actually knew Philip....long story). I agree with you...people who see only superficial "Facts" should not criticise. They live in a rarified world...nothing I would want to live in! Harry and William both need to overcome their resentment and get on with happy lives which include their beautiful wives and children. What a wonderful life they could share!

I have mixed feelings about Harry returning to a senior role in the royal family. However, we cannot negate the fact that this young man has brought much positive effects to the royal family, because of the humanity that he has brought to the things that he does and support. He has brought personal feelings into the family, instead of it being a hierarchy that many cannot relate to. Unfortunately, he chose to give up his senior role in the family, allegedly to protect his family. He is still a member of the royal family, and many have been forgiven for things far worse that Harry has done, so for Pete's sake, please give him some grace.

I believe all people deserve to be forgiven. He however needs to show he deserves forgiveness. I think it would be impossible if he remains married to Meghan but she should have zero to do with the Royal Family or engagements. All of their comments that I saw in their Netflux interviews, other TV appearances and what I heard about the Spare ( I would NOT spend time or money on that book) came across to me as privledged spoiled brats that were making excuses for horrendous behavior. So lots of conditions on my yes vote. It isn't as simple as yes or no and I am most certainly not indifferent all the way over in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I love our monarch.

Until Meghan no longer calls the shots and until Harry no longer defers to her, he cannot be trusted. He and his children are the losers in this continuing scenario and it’s all so sad. The Monarchy needs Harry and Harry needs to “come home”, however not until things drastically change. Sadly, I don’t see that happening.
