Good evening, Royal Clubbers, it’s Iona here.
First up, here’s the best of the royal coverage over on HELLO! today.

And the winner is…
On Friday I asked if you liked Princess Anne’s style.
I’m pleased that eighty-nine per cent of you said yes, as she certainly did look fabulous for her 75th birthday!
Poll of the day
As you will have read, King Charles has taken up his summer residency at Balmoral.
It’s an annual retreat for the royals, and there’s even a Balmoral Castle Family Day, planned by the King himself.
There are so many special photos of the royals over the years spending time there, and I wanted to share my favourite.
Duchess Sophie took a rare, informal snap of the late Queen and Prince Philip relaxing in the Coyles of Muick in 2003. It looks just like a photo of an ordinary couple on their holidays, and it’s quite touching.
Let me know in the comments if you have any favourite photos of the royals spending time at Balmoral.
The Scottish residence where Queen Elizabeth II was said to be happiest only opened to the public last year. Our royal editor (who is currently on her summer holiday), Emily Nash, was one of the first to be invited to tour the inside of Balmoral Castle in July 2024. You can watch her video from the day here.
Filming and photography are, of course, not permitted inside the castle, but Emily does a great job of offering snippets of what the grounds are like.
I haven’t visited Balmoral myself so I’m keen to know if any of you have...
Picture of the day
Duchess Sophie and Prince Edward stepped out at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival over the weekend, where they went to watch the magician, The Confusionist.
I love that they went to watch a magician, as that captures the variety of acts on offer. From the few times I’ve been to the Fringe, I’ve seen show choirs and two-man musicals – there truly are all sorts of shows to watch!
As a former thespian, I really love that the royals are taking time to support the creative arts. Many of my actor friends perform at the Fringe, and so much time goes into writing, directing, and physically taking the play up to Scotland.
Let me know in the comments if you’ve ever been to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival…
