Yesterday I asked whether royal home renovations should be funded privately or by the taxpayer.
Eighty-one per cent of you felt they should be funded privately, with only 19 per cent saying taxpayers should foot the bill.
One of the comments from our royal clubbers suggested that if the estate is government-owned, then taxpayers should contribute to its maintenance.
Poll of the day
As you will have read, Buckingham Palace released some fashionable photos of Princess Anne in celebration of her birthday.
Princess Anne seems to suit every colour, from dark red to navy blue – and doesn’t she look incredible at 75?
I wanted to share one of my favourite photos of Anne from 1973, in which she styled a casual blue shirt with a silk neck scarf and looked incredibly chic (plus her hair was immaculate). I’d wear this today, and I actually own a shirt almost identical to it!
So for today’s poll:
Which is your favourite Princess Anne fashion moment? Do let me know in the comments!
Video of the day
Queen Camilla was overcome by emotion this morning when a 105-year-old war veteran saluted the King at the 80th anniversary of VJ Day.
It is truly remarkable that King Charles has been attending all of these events while undergoing cancer treatment.
Queen Camilla’s display of emotion shows that the royals are, after all, humans facing life’s many challenges.
Friday’s puzzles
That’s all for this week Royal Clubbers. See you on Monday!
