Yesterday I asked if you enjoy carol concerts at Christmas, and I’m glad that 96 per cent of you said yes, as it is one of my favourite festive activities.
Royal Clubber Chandra wrote that she enjoyed seeing “young carolers who visit homes,” and as a former choir member who got to go into homes, I agree that it is such a heartwarming experience.
Jasmine wrote that she is a fan of the carol Once in Royal David’s City, and I am too! There would always be a fierce audition to sing the first verse as a solo (I got the chance to do it once).

As you will have read, it is King Charles’ birthday and a new portrait of him was revealed today by Buckingham Palace.
It has been quite the year for the King. He has handled many milestones, from Trump’s state visit to the scandal of Andrew, and throughout it all, he has carried on with his duties and maintained a positive outlook.
The Royal Editor this week (written by HELLO! royal correspondent Tracy who is standing in for Emily) goes one step further and asks, ‘Has this been King Charles’ greatest year?’ You can read her excellent piece here.
It seems not even a British storm can put Charles off, as he and Camilla were in good spirits at Cyfarthfa Castle today. Although I have to say, his birthday cake-cutting technique was very bizarre.
To mark his big day, Buckingham Palace posted a new portrait of King Charles to celebrate, and I think it is quite a sweet photo! He is very coordinated in his beige-toned outfits – what do you think?

This picture perfectly sums up the weekend ahead for us Brits amid Storm Claudia.
Zara Tindall does what a royal lady does best and still manages to look glamorous in defiance of the stormy weather. I certainly did not look this put-together in London at Winter Wonderland last night while walking around in torrential rain.
Perhaps I was missing a burgundy hat like Zara’s to hold onto! However, given the forecast, I think I might be staying in this weekend to watch Christmas films.
