Hi everyone,
Another week, another royal birthday. Hot on the heels of Prince Louis turning six, his big sister Princess Charlotte turns nine on Thursday.
Hasn’t time flown? It feels like only yesterday I stood opposite the famous doors of the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital and watched her parents emerge, with Kate cradling her tiny daughter and showing her to the world for the first time.
She’s now a confident, fun-loving nine-year-old, who loves ballet and tap, gymnastics and cheering on England’s Lionesses as well as sharing her favourite jokes with her family.
She adores the family’s cocker spaniel Orla and plays football, rugby and tennis, as well as taking piano lessons.
Royal fans love to watch her in action at family events, and she has been observed apparently keeping her brothers in check – brushing Louis’ hand down to stop him putting it in his mouth and advising George to put his hands by his sides on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
She also seems to have inherited her parents’ passion for sports, cheering like crazy at Wimbledon last summer and giving the thumbs up poolside at the Commonwealth Games in 2022.
But what lies ahead for William and Kate’s only daughter?
