WATCH: Princess Kate's road to recovery
Isabelle speaks to a leading abdominal surgeon after the Princess's 'unusually' long hospital stay
Hello, Royal Clubbers!
It's just been announced that Princess Kate has left hospital to continue her recovery at home. Ahead of her discharge, I sat down with Mr. Shashank Gurjar, a consultant and colorectal surgeon specialising in keyhole and open surgery for bowel cancer at Cosmedics on 41 Harley Street
While we know that the Princess of Wales's procedure was not related to cancer, as an expert in abdominal surgery, Mr. Gurjar, of 41 Harley Street, told me his thoughts on why her hospital stay was so lengthy – and why 10 to 14 days recovery time is quite uncommon.
He also opened up about how the Princess would be moving forward with her recovery at home with her family, and revealed the three key things she must pay attention to.
By the way, did you catch my fellow Royal Club author Emily's voicenote on how Kate was keeping in touch with her kids from her hospital bed?
Check out our conversation in the video below, I hope you found it as insightful as I did!
