WATCH: Meghan divides opinion – again
The Duchess's new Netflix show launched today to a mixed response
Hi Royal Clubbers, it's Danielle here.
After a six-week delay, the Duchess of Sussex's highly anticipated Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, dropped onto the streaming platform today – and it’s fair to say that opinion is split…
In the eight-episode series, Meghan shares personal tips and tricks for cooking, gardening and hosting. The Duchess is joined by some of her closest friends, including famous faces and acclaimed chefs, and there are even cameos from husband Prince Harry and mother Doria Ragland.
Filmed in a $8 million farmhouse down the road from the Sussexes' Montecito home, the series is, of course, aesthetically pleasing, with Meghan's coveted cookware and perfectly put-together outfits playing a starring role.
Whether harvesting honey with bees, picking blackberries in her garden, or artfully arranging a rainbow fruit platter, Meghan says she wants to show us how to “take something that is everyday, and elevate it just a little bit."
There is also insight into her personal life, including how Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet love to help their mother make homemade jam and how they're serious about gardening.
While the series made me want to rush out to buy edible flower sprinkles and to take the time, in-between juggling work and parenting, to find the little joys in everything, With Love, Meghan hasn’t elicited a uniformly loving reaction. One dissenting voice is HELLO!’s TV and film editor, Emmy Griffiths, who gives her verdict in the video below…
Emmy’s review: ‘What have I just watched?!’
So what do you think, Royal Clubbers? Will you be watching the series? Tell us in the poll, and feel free to expand on your thoughts in the comments below.
Enough already, Meghan. Stop tying so hard to be a celebrity and just go enjoy your husband and children.
Not worth my time.
