King Charles converses with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer

Hi, Royal Clubbers,

We’ll be sending puzzles and the royal week in pictures as usual later today, but we just wanted to send an early post to show you a power-packed video of King Charles filmed yesterday.

After a two-day mini tour of the Channel Islands and fulfilling his ceremonial duties at the State Opening of Parliament, the King hosted a reception for more than 45 leaders from across Europe at the historic Blenheim Palace – the birthplace of former prime minister, Winston Churchill.

Just 13 days after his appointment, new prime minister and Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer greeted the monarch upon his arrival at the event. The reception was held in the Long Library, which has walls lined by more than 10,000 books and is home to the Willis Organ. The UK-hosted European Political Community (EPC) had a focus on Ukraine, energy security and migration.

While the topics don’t exactly excite the senses, we guarantee this video will! Take a look at the footage below to see the King working the powerful crowd. What is so remarkable about him is that whether shaking hands with world leaders, or speaking to schoolchildren, his relaxed and charming manner remains unchanged. He is a truly remarkable man.
