WATCH: Exclusive preview of Lady Glenconner's historical royal auction
Come with Alex Hurtado as she takes you inside the life of Lady Glenconner
Hi Royal Clubbers,
It’s Alex, HELLO!’s US royal news correspondent (if you don’t remember me, I introduced myself in this post last month). You’ll be hearing quite a bit from me now as I have arrived in London for a three-month visit, and I think this is a lovely way to start.
Earlier this week, I had the privilege of going to a preview of “Lady Glenconner: My Life in Objects.” For those of you unfamiliar with Anne Veronica Tennant, Baroness Glenconner, she was a maid of honour at Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953 and a lady-in-waiting to Princess Margaret.
In an auction at Bonhams, starting today, Lady Glenconner is selling a selection of personal items, including gifts she received from members of the British royal family. Take a look at some of the treasures being auctioned off in my video below. Which of these royal keepsakes would you love to have? Please do tell me in the comments!
