The week's best royal photos
Plus a lookback to this time last year and lookahead to next week's diary in The Royal Dispatch
Hello Royal Clubbers, it’s Millie here.
Queen Letizia had a beautiful tiara moment this week while we also had outings for the Prince and Princess of Wales.
But before we dive into the best royal pictures of the week, it’s time to head back in time…
This time last year…
The Monaco royals all look rather chilly in this photograph! Princess Gabriella of Monaco, Princess Charlene of Monaco, Prince Albert II of Monaco, Prince Jacques of Monaco and Stéphane Valeri launched the Christmas Illuminations on Place du Casino in late November 2024.
Zara Tindall looking distinctly less royal than normal here as she took part in the final leg of the Cycle4Caroline Endurance Charity Cycle Challenge in Datchet, England. Cycle4Caroline is an 11-day endurance charity bike ride in memory of equestrian event rider Caroline March who died in March 2024 following a riding accident in 2022 which left her paralysed. The cycle ride began at Blair Castle in Scotland on 20 November and is due to finish at The Savoy Hotel in London on 30 November.
Speaking of the Savoy, here’s Prince William having a chat with film star Idris Elba at the 2024 Tusk Conservation Awards at The Savoy Hotel. They both look to be getting along splendidly!
A royal family portrait that’s a little less polished than the ones we’re used to seeing! I’m sure any of you who have tried to get a nice family photograph with all members (canine included) can relate to the struggle of getting everyone to look the same way all at once. Here are King Willem-Alexander, Queen Maxima, Princess Amalia, Princess Alexia and Princess Ariane for a festive photo call last year.

Best Royal Pictures of The Week
Queen Maxima
I would love to know what made this lady laugh so much! This week, Queen Maxima has been in Indonesia in her in her capacity as United Nations Secretary General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health (try saying that quickly!). This particular visit was to Amarta Fintech to support women micro-entrepreneurs in Kampung Batik Village on Tuesday in Solo City, Indonesia.
Zara Tindall
Worlds away from the photo last year, Zara Tindall looked extremely glamorous as she attended a special cocktail party hosted by Rebecca Vallance at Aki London on Wednesday. She wore the same dress when supporting Prince William at the Tusk Awards later in the evening.
Spencer twins
No, you’re not seeing double! Lady Eliza Spencer and Lady Amelia Spencer were also in attendance at the 2025 Tusk Conservation Awards at The Savoy Hotel on Wednesday, looking extremely chic in their black gowns with glittering details.
Duchess Sophie
The Duchess of Edinburgh looked primed and ready to go with this weapon of mass destruction! On Wednesday, Duchess Sophie visited RAW Workshop in Oxford to meet the incredible team and see their life-changing work first hand – helping people build skills, find confidence and take the next step into employment.
Prince Edward
Meanwhile, Prince Edward looked a little frightening as he put all his energy into cutting a cake as Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, minister for trade, looked on during an annual event to celebrate King Charles III’s birthday and the relationship between UK and Ghana at the British High Commissioner’s Residence in Accra, Ghana on Tuesday.
Queen Camilla
Queen Camilla looked lovely in this red velvet dress as the Colonel-in-Chief of the Rifles and Royal Colonel 4th Battalion of the Ranger Regiment escorted her to attend the Biennial Rifles Awards Dinner on Thursday.
Princess Catherine
Princess Catherine made a little friend during her visit to the children’s mental health charity Anna Freud at the Anna Freud Centre on Thursday.
Here’s a look at her full outfit. I have to say she looks very chic, if a little cold! You can see more of Catherine on Thanksgiving in this video from our very own Alex, who had the rare privilege of getting to speak to the princess.
Spanish royals
What a regal group! German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife Elke Buedenbender posed with King Felipe and Queen Letizia during a gala dinner at the Royal Palace in Madrid on Wednesday.
This tiara is especially beautiful. It’s called the heritage Cartier loop tiara and once belonged to Queen Victoria Eugenie of Spain. It was designed for her in the 1920s, inspired by the Art Deco style. Letizia hasn’t worn this tiara in seven years.
Prince William
Prince William was in his element as he presented the Tusk Wildlife Ranger Winner Award onstage during the annual Tusk Conservation Awards 2025 to celebrate Africa’s leading conservationists at The Savoy Hotel on Wednesday. I really like the trophy design!
Thai royals
Speaking of tusks, mahouts (elephant riders) and elephants marched on Thursday to pay respect to the Queen Mother Sirikit outside the Royal Grand Palace in Bangkok. The group travelled from the Ayutthaya Elephant Palace to Bangkok to pay respect for the Queen Mother Sirikit at the Royal Grand Palace in Bangkok. She died at the age of 93 on 24 October 2025 at the Chulalongkorn Hospital.
Next week’s royal diary
There’s lots to look forward to next week, Royal Clubbers, including a state banquet and a new release from Meghan Markle.
