Hello Royal Clubbers, it's Millie here.
As we head into August, the royals will be winding down for the summer so things will be a bit quieter moving into next week.
Thank you to everyone who cast their guesses on Prince George’s next school - the favourite was Eton, with 73 per cent of you choosing Prince William’s alma mater, and just 16 per cent voting for Marlborough College, Princess Catherine’s alma mater.
But before we dive into the best royal pictures and the diary, let's take a little look back at some royal history.
On This Day…
On this day in royal history, 26 July 1533, Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro ordered the death of the last effective Incan Emperor, Atahualpa. He had a short reign – a matter of months, and a short life, dying aged 31 at the hands of the Spanish.
He was captured by the conquistadors in an ambush called the Cajamarca massacre, where thousands of Atahualpa’s commanders, advisors and attendants were killed. Whilst in captivity, Atahualpa paid the conquistadors a ransom in exchange for his release. He also arranged for the execution of Huáscar, his half-brother and rival.
Atahualpa was betrayed when the Spanish accused him of treason and conspiracy against the Spanish crown, as well as the murder of Huáscar. The Incan emperor was tried and sentenced to death by burning at the stake, but was then baptised and garrotted instead.
He was replaced by other emperors, but these were more puppet-like figures who were under the control of the conquistadors.

A matching sister moment for the two Spanish princesses who have had a very busy week this week. Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia visited the village of Sant Martí Vell as part of their work with the Princess of Girona Awards. Both royals are set to attend the upcoming Euros match of Spain versus England this weekend.
Princess Delphine of Belgium
Monday saw a very jazzy red outfit and some cool matching sunglasses from Princess Delphine of Belgium. Royal insider Wim Dehandschutter told The Royal Club: “Princess Delphine attracted all the attention with her red dress and immense split made of leather and silk. She told me before that she didn't intend to shock [with her outfit choice].”
Royal siblings
How lovely is this sibling photograph of the Belgian royals! Prince Gabriel, Prince Emmanuel, Princess Eleonore and Princess Elisabeth of Belgium were snapped as they arrived for the Te Deum on Monday to kick off celebrations for Belgium’s National Day. Wim told us: “Prince Gabriel marched in the military parade, his parents (and especially his mother Queen Mathilde) was super proud.” How sweet!
Finally, here’s a shot of the family looking very glam as they arrived for a concert and show with fireworks, laser and drones to mark the end of the special day.
Royal diary
The diary is quietening down ahead of the British royal family's annual retreat to Scotland.
