Kate and Charlotte's twinning moments
The young royal has inherited an impeccable sense of style!
Hello, Royal Clubbers!
I wanted to share with you my latest royal fashion fascination – all the times Princess Charlotte and her mother, Princess Kate, have worn matching outfits.
The eight-year-old is taking after her mum Kate immensely, but one way that the pair have always been so in sync is in their fashion choices.
So grab a cup of tea and settle down as we take a look back at the Princesses' most fabulous twinning fashion moments!
King Charles' coronation
I'm going to kick off with what I think is the ultimate mother-daughter twinning moment of all twinning moments, and it has to be King Charles' coronation in May 2023. I think we all let out a collective gasp when we first laid eyes on the Princess of Wales and her immaculate mini-me.Â
I'm sure I don't need to jog your memories but just in case you can't remember, the pair looked like walking angels for the occasion, wearing ivory silk crepe gowns by Kate's famed wedding dress designer, Alexander McQueen - not to forget their matching headpieces.
Kate's gown featured impeccable silver threadwork of rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock motifs which were echoed in Charlotte's gown but in a subtler white hue.Â
The Princess of Wales' white gown was largely concealed by her red, white and blue cape, and whilst Charlotte's outfit did feature a cape too, it felt more like an extension of her dress given it was the same colour.
Another reason I feel this is one of their most striking looks to date is due to their ornate hairstyles. We rarely see Kate with an updo as dramatic as we saw in May last year, but it was an exceptionally flattering choice and on both her and Charlotte, it framed their faces beautifully!
Pretty in pastels
As a lover of all things pink, this absolute gem from 2017 had to be on the list. The Princess and her then two-year-old daughter were in the middle of their tour of Germany and Poland when they decided to opt for matching pastel dresses.Â
Charlotte was pictured stepping off the plane wearing a beautiful pink floral piece with shirring detail at the centre and an adorable Peter Pan collar. She also had on a pair of matching bloomers in the same print. The details of the dress were never released, but it was thought to be a custom-made number.
Meanwhile, proud mum Kate donned an elegant lilac gown. The pair looked like two beautiful peas in a pod!
Christmas twinsÂ
When it comes to Christmas, the royal family don't do things by halves, even when it comes down to their fabulous array of festive looks.
One of my all-time favourite Christmas looks was in 2022 when Princess Charlotte was the double of her mum in a burgundy coat from Trotters. Princess Kate, meanwhile, looked poised and elegant in a burgundy coat dress from Eponine London, which simply personified Christmas!
A vision in royal blue
Since becoming the Princess of Wales, it's safe to say that Kate has opted for bolder colours, which was certainly demonstrated during her attendance at her first Easter service under her new title in 2023.
The Princess opted for a fabulous sapphire Catherine Walker blue coat dress and her daughter followed suit in a stunning floral blue dress and vibrant blue tights.
Blue is certainly an Easter favourite for the royal duo. In 2022, Kate and Charlotte stepped out in the shade, but this time it was a softer, pastel hue. The Princess of Wales donned a pretty cloud blue coat dress to match her daughter's blue floral ensemble - just gorgeous!
