Don't just blame Kate for the 'fake photo' scandal
The Princess took the brunt of the controversy
What a week it's been - aren't you glad it's nearly over? Two people who will no doubt be happy to see the back of it are Prince William and Kate. We can surely all agree on that.
A brief recap for those that need it: as predicted in my column two weeks ago, the Princess of Wales delighted royal fans on Sunday morning (Mother's Day in the UK) by releasing a very special family photo of herself with her three children. Unlike other years, Kate opted to share a recent photo – remember that in 2022, her photo (shared in March) was taken the summer before by Matt Porteous.
At first glance, the image was an outdoor portrait of Kate, seated in a chair at Adelaide Cottage, surrounded by George, Charlotte, and Louis. Those with a good eye, however, were quick to notice that the photo had been edited in several areas. See below for reference.
Do I believe it was edited by Kate herself? Yes, and I will tell you why: she has done it before.
