And the winner is…
In yesterday’s poll I asked if you had heard of a ‘ha-ha wall’, and I’m glad we mostly agreed as 76 per cent of you said no.
One Royal Clubber commented that she was surprised so few people knew about this security feature. Then again, I don’t think my small London garden has the space for much – let alone adding property features.
Poll of the day
As you may have read, a portrait of Prince William and Princess Catherine has been moved to a new home after three years.
The picture harbours great significance as it was the first portrait of the pair together and was taken while they still held the titles of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
I actually think the portrait has a slight Christmassy tone, as Princess Catherine’s emerald green dress and matching shoes certainly give off that aesthetic. However, my one criticism is that they aren’t looking at each other. For a couple who met at university and had quite a fairytale love story, there should be more warmth between them. Instead, in the photo, they are both gazing at something the spectator can’t see – again, maybe this is ‘art’ and I’m just being picky!
If you answered no to the poll, is there another royal portrait or photo of the pair that you particularly like? Let me know in the comments section.
I much prefer this photo of them graduating from St Andrew’s University – it’s far more natural and, I think, shows their fondness and affection for each other.
Picture of the day
It was nice to see Princess Catherine in action today during her royal visit to RAF Coningsby, following her appointment as Royal Honorary Air Commodore of the Lincolnshire base in 2023.
I love her grey suit co-ord and black heels – very businesslike and sophisticated for such a busy day! As part of her visit, she tried out an aircraft simulator, which I imagine added some fun to the working day. I think I’d prefer the safety of a simulator to the real thing – although that photo does make me feel a bit dizzy…
