And the winner is…
In yesterday’s poll I asked if you enjoy a sweet treat – and it seemed an easy question, as 97 per cent of you said yes!
I enjoyed the comments section, where a few of you mentioned being fans of a biscuit with a cup of tea in hand (me too), and one commenter said they enjoy dark chocolate Hershey’s Kisses – a yummy choice, though sadly Hershey’s Kisses are harder to find in the UK.
Poll of the day
As you will have read, Princess Beatrice rewore a black coat dress from 2010 when she attended the grand opening of The Chancery Rosewood hotel in Grosvenor Square on 14 October.
She’s not the only royal rewearing pieces – Princess Catherine was spotted in Northern Ireland yesterday rewearing an Alexander McQueen coat dress from Christmas 2022. Even Princess Anne has been known to rewear coats from nearly 30 years ago – a true ‘70s style queen. And let’s not forget King Charles, a long-time advocate for sustainable fashion. Recognise his tweed coat? He’s had it for over three decades. Seriously impressive!
In general, the royals are pretty good at upcycling garments, wearing eco-conscious brands, and resisting the temptation to always opt for something new – even though they easily could.
Personally, I’m trying to get better at re-wearing outfits, but I’m notoriously known for wanting a complete wardrobe change whenever I spot a new trend in the shops. My saving grace is charity shopping (or thrift shopping). It’s so satisfying when you find a piece that’s both cheap and totally wearable.
When it comes to special occasions, I always find myself wanting a new dress or pair of shoes, but I think we can all take notes from the royals: holding on to pieces from years ago can still be stylish. In fact, I saw a top in my wardrobe while clearing out at the weekend that I bought five years ago and nearly threw out — purely because I’d had it for so long. But honestly, as long as it’s still in good shape, who actually cares?
Video of the day
Prince William and Princess Catherine released a video of their meeting with HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II of Jordan and HRH Princess Rajwa at Windsor Castle today.
It does seem slightly awkward at the beginning, with the four of them just standing there – what are your thoughts? That said, it looks like Princess Catherine and Princess Rajwa got along well, as there’s a clip of them chatting away.
Also, can we take a moment to appreciate how stunning the staircase is inside Windsor Castle? It truly looks like something out of Bridgerton or Downton Abbey.

Your verdict on Camilla’s wedding dress
I like to re-ware my clothes coz I am not always in a position to buy new dresses costs shoes. But invariably I have put on a lot of weight.
I have a peachy two piece silk like material I wore to wedding 8yrs ago cannot fit in it.
But the outfit looks better on you if you are svelte which I was all those ago..
I have loads of old clothes (some 30+ years old) that I still wear. These days they would be called vintage, so now my old clothes are right on trend!
