Yesterday I asked if the Lover’s Knot was your favourite tiara, and 80 per cent of you said yes. I am glad you agreed, as I loved it on Princess Catherine when she wore it to the Diplomatic Reception in 2023.
There is a lot of tiara talk at the moment, with Princess Charlene wearing a Diamond Foam tiara at Monaco’s National Gala last night. This headpiece is such a different style to Catherine’s and almost doesn’t look like a tiara, don’t you think? I think it gives the Monegasque royal an ethereal, wintry look.

As you will have read, Princess Catherine looked like a true princess (and future queen) in her elegant, velvet green maxi dress.
I can testify to how freezing it was in London last night, and I am sure Alex, HELLO!’s US royal news correspondent, was cold too, as she documented the Royal Variety Performance in this video (which you can watch here).
I cannot imagine how cold the beautiful Princess Catherine was, but she made it look effortless as she walked in her Talbot Runhof gown and sparkly earrings.
Not to mention, she was also wearing sky-high stilettos…not even I could walk so gracefully wearing those!
It appears that Princess Catherine is starting to ease back into public life. This was her first Royal Variety Performance appearance since her cancer diagnosis in 2024. I have to say, she has certainly returned on her own terms, easing back in gracefully.
While this was her sixth appearance at the London event, I have to mention one of her other sparkly looks (I love a sparkly dress, what can I say) from back in 2017 when she wore a baby blue Jenny Packham gown. At that time she was pregnant with Prince Louis, which feels like such a long time ago!

Britain’s best-loved bear reunited with the royals last night at the Royal Variety Performance, and I just think this is the cutest photo ever. Paddington is a bit of a phenomenon at the moment in London with the release of Paddington: The Musical, and a musical performance was featured at the show last night.
Paddington was very polite meeting the royals and even shook their hands, showing he was briefed on the protocol – but he did not let go of the marmalade sandwich in his hand.
Catherine commented throughout the night that her children were fans of Paddington and were “very sad” not to attend the Royal Variety, as they missed out on the musical performance.
