Hi Royal Clubbers, it’s Iona here.
First up, here’s the best of the royal coverage over on HELLO! today.

And the winner is…
Yesterday I asked whose state banquet tiara you preferred out of Queen Camilla’s (Belgian Sapphire) and Princess Catherine’s (Lover’s Knot), and 90 per cent of you chose the Princess’s.
I agreed with one of the comments that her tiara was more practical, while Camilla’s was a very strong blue – so it would only complement certain outfits. I write this as though I’m planning my own state banquet outfit!
I hope you enjoyed reading the history behind the tiaras, and I mustn’t forget Princess Anne’s Pineflower Tiara…
Poll of the day
As our busy week of state visits, banquets, and tiaras draws to a close, here you can read Donald Trump’s comments on the state banquet menu – and his verdict.
The menu featured an array of very fancy food (as expected), and I couldn’t get over the parmesan shortbread… what on earth is that?
I have to admit, I haven’t tried most of the dishes on the menu, including quail eggs and a chicken ballotine. As a huge foodie, I also wonder how much food is actually served – what I never like about fancy meals is the tiny portions!
The pudding didn’t really sound like my cup of tea (good thing I wasn’t there) – it was a bombe glacée cardinal. Again, I had to Google what that even is. Of course, the staff should be commended for all their hard work on the feast – it must have been a hectic evening of flowing wine and several courses.
So for my final poll of the week…
Video of the day
I wanted to leave you with a special Changing of the Guard video, filmed on a very sunny Friday at Buckingham Palace. From previous posts, I know how much you enjoy hearing the music – it truly is something special. And I’m so glad the sunshine finally made an appearance in London this week...
This ceremony marked the end of Donald Trump’s state visit and celebrated the close ties between the United Kingdom and the United States.
Friday’s puzzles
