Yesterday I asked if you would you wear a ra-ra skirt? Sixty-nine per cent of you said no!
I couldn’t see myself wearing one either – but I applaud Princess Charlene for taking a fashion risk!
Poll of the day
As you’ll have read, some royal residences have been used as filming locations for huge Hollywood blockbusters.
I was surprised to learn that Windsor Castle was used in Bridget Jones’s Baby – where was my invitation, as a local Windsorian, to be an extra?
I will say, certain landmarks such as Big Ben never tire on me – even after living in the city for a year. Whenever London is lit up at night, it truly is a special sight and it is no surprise that some of these landmarks are used in Hollywood films.
A few on the list, such as Hampton Court Palace or Holyrood Palace, I haven’t actually visited… so I’m keen to know if any of you have visited the listed landmarks?
Tower of London
Buckingham Palace
Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament
Alnwick Castle
Hampton Court Palace
Windsor Castle
Holyrood Palace
If yes, which ones…
Video of the day
Looking autumnal (and on trend as always) in olive green, Princess Catherine made a visit to Home-Start in Oxford today. The local family support charity helps parents and young children to build strong relationships – which ties in nicely with the royal’s passion for children’s early years development.
It’s clear this is where Princess Catherine’s talent as a royal truly lies. As a mother herself, she is clearly genuinely interested and takes a hands-on approach.
Catherine even took part in a play session in Oxford, and the picture above is adorable, with the Princess joining toddlers to play with flour and dried pasta.
Not just possessing of beauty but brains, Princess Catherine today released a personal essay called ‘The Power of Human Connection in a Distracted World’ where she highlights the importance of putting down screens and creating time to connect with the family. So it’s evident her royal duties matter to her on a personal level as well.
Maybe my 12-year old brother could take note of this message when he tells me he is busy playing FIFA as I’m trying to ask him about his day…
