And the winner is…
Yesterday, I asked if you thought David Beckham deserved his knighthood, and 91 per cent of you said he did.
One royal clubber, Michael, wrote: “Through sport, one gets to know the things that are really important. Leadership, teamwork, and application of the right skills make youth a wonderful time of life. Way to go, Beckham!”
I completely agree. With a younger brother who is a football fanatic, it’s clear that this is such an important sport that David encourages, and it can help build young people’s confidence.
Poll of the day
As you will have read, Prince William lit up the skies of Rio de Janeiro’s world-famous Ipanema Beach on Tuesday evening when his Earthshot Prize put on a drone show.
It got me thinking that I’ve never seen, heard, or been to a drone show. However, a quick Google search shows that this is, in fact, a popular light show you can attend in London!
I imagine it’s a lot quieter than a loud firework show. There is something about drones that is quite cool, though, in that they can form different shapes and light up in different colours!
I’m keen to know if I’m alone in having never been to a drone show.
If yes, let me know in the comments what it was like!
Video of the day
I don’t know about you, but it certainly looks like Prince William is having such an amazing trip in Brazil, and it’s very much making me want to visit South America!
For the video of the day, I chose this clip from day two (there are many to choose from his trip, as he has been the star of the camera) when he attended the United for Wildlife Summit.
He was sweetly given a scarf by Vanda Witoto, Climate Activist & Indigenous Leader from the Witoto people in the Brazilian Amazon.
The handmade scarf took three hours to make and symbolized food and health —what a special keepsake for Prince William to have from his trip.
