On Friday, we got a bit nostalgic – and I asked if you missed being a teenager. The results are in: 75 per cent of you said yes!
One Royal Clubber shared that they missed not having adult pressures to worry about – such as bills – and I can totally agree. However, I think there’s a certain beauty in growing up too, being able to look back on our memories and reflect on how we’ve changed as people.
Poll of the day
As you will have read, Cecil Beaton was a fascinating fashion photographer who captured so many stars in portraits.
I, for one, am a fan of an art gallery or an exhibition. I grew up going to them, and even when I’m on holiday, I always make sure to find one to have a stroll around. So I’m very keen to see Cecil’s new exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. Not only did he photograph Queen Elizabeth, but also Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe.
His photos capture the glamour goddesses of the 20th century – and while I think fashion photography is still at the top of its game, there was a timeless look to these ladies and a sparkle about them.
I was mesmerised by the photo that Cecil captured of Princess Margaret on her 21st birthday – she looked so graceful and elegant, although I imagine that dress was very difficult to walk in. The price of fashion for a good picture, I suppose…
Do let me know if you’re planning to visit the exhibition – or if there are any of Cecil’s other photographs you particularly admire…

Starting the week with some positive news… a royal engagement announcement! Crown Prince Leka II of Albania has announced his engagement to his girlfriend, Blerta Celibashi, just six months after his divorce from Crown Princess Elia was finalised. I’m in awe of Blerta’s gold satin dress – what a stylish photo to share such happy news!
