Hi Royal Clubbers, it’s Iona here a couple of hours later than usual after Millie sent a post looking at the impact the Andrew scandal will have on this week’s Earthshot awards.
Firstly, here’s the best of the royal coverage over on HELLO! today.
Royal family quietly make major change after stripping Andrew Mountbatten Windsor of his titles
Queen Rania gives Dolce & Gabbana gown a ‘striking’ twist with shorter hemline
Prince William and Princess Catherine begin new chapter to close out 2025
And the winner is…
Last week, inspired by Princess Leonor, I asked you if you thought military service should be mandatory for royals.
As the future Queen of Spain is in her third year of military training, she follows the example of many royals, past and present, who dedicated themselves to the military for a few years to gain valuable experience.
Seventy-four per cent of you thought military service should be compulsory for the blue-blooded among us, while 26 per cent said no.
Personally, I think that military service should be strongly encouraged for royalty, as there are essential leadership and teamwork skills to be gained.
Poll of the day
As you may have read, Prince William is in Rio de Janeiro this week for the fifth year of the Earthshot Prize.
Ahead of his visit, a source told HELLO! “The King takes a keen interest in the Earthshot Prize and what the Prince is building.
“The King has read the Prince’s speech…they have been talking about it, and given that it’s such a shared topic that they feel extremely passionate about, I’m sure there have been many conversations over recent months...”
Both William and Charles share a strong passion for the environment, but could other royals be more vocal advocates of environmentalism?
So onto today’s question…

Ironically, the action from King Charles III that would truly immortalize his reign is if he were to have his dead body composted and then mulched into the very soil of England, if not divided and shared out to all of the countries of the United Kingdom for earthly inclusion. THAT would distinguish him as THE historic watershed ruler who lived in the old and led us all into the new by example.
King Charles does a great deal, as Prince William does his best too, however, why don’t other members of the family do more ?
