Good evening, Royal Clubbers, it’s Iona.

And the winner is…
Yesterday I asked the poll question, should royals curtsey every time they see the King or Queen?
With Princess Catherine’s three curtseys drawing our eye, it got me thinking if it would be nice to see the royals curtsey more, but the results are fairly definitive! Sixty-one per cent of you like things the way they are, with just one curtsey when they first see the King or Queen, while 39 per cent of you felt that they should curtsey every time.
I have to say, I do see that the curtseying might get a little excessive for big events like state visits, where members of the royal family join together.
Poll of the day
As you will have read, William and Camilla shared a sweet moment at last night’s state banquet. Are you happy to see how close they have become over the years?

After a whirlwind visit and glamorous state banquet last night, the King and Queen bid a fond farewell to their French visitors, President Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte Macron.
Your say…
Last night our Royal Editor Emily Nash asked you if the UK does pomp and pageantry better than anyone else, and the results are in! Overwhelmingly, 97 per cent of you thought that the UK is the leader in pomp and pageantry, and I have to say I agree with you.
Here are some of my favourite comments from Royal Clubbers yesterday.
Jane had a different opinion…
We Canadians were proud of our pageantry when the King and Queen visited Ottawa in late May to open Parliament. Everything went off so well - their welcome, our Armed Forces and the bands, a ceremony at the War Memorial, visiting a market, planting a tree in Government House, meetings with individual Canadians, etc. - and no-one can beat our Royal Canadian Mounted Police when it comes to putting on a magnificent display!
Carolyn made an interesting point about tourism…
Yes! And to all those who want to get rid of it: what do you think tourists go to the UK to see? It's wonderful, would like to see more, especially the fancy occasions. Get rid of it and watch your tourist spending go down.
That’s all for today, Royal Clubbers! See you tomorrow.
