As you will have read today, Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli like to split their time between their Cotswold farmhouse and St James’ Palace.
The family can’t constantly stay in the peaceful countryside because they need the practicality of a London base while their children are in school.
However, the Cotswolds are a popular place for many royals and celebrities to have a holiday home due to the area’s rich history and picturesque scenery.

Mixing things up, today’s video involves a bit of history and British tradition. While not strictly from today, last weekend Weymouth Museum held a Royal Dipping Day.
What is that you ask?
The event recreates one of King George III’s traditions when he went dipping in the Weymouth waters back in 1978, otherwise known as royal seabathing.
This video summarises two things that Brits do best: eccentricity and our enduring love of royal history. So would any of you participate?
