Yesterday I asked if you enjoy running!
After my long declaration about how much I like it, I was pretty amused to see that 88% of you said you didn’t.
That said, I do sympathise – running really isn’t for everyone. And let’s be honest, sometimes people say they enjoy it more than they actually do it. I didn’t even go for a run yesterday… I ended up at the pub instead. So it’s all about balance!
Poll of the day
As you will have read, Prince William and Princess Catherine have decided to have no live-in staff at their new place in Forest Lodge.
It’s a rather modern royal approach to have staff stay in their own accommodation—and quite nice, I suppose, for the family to have their own space.
I obviously don’t have any staff at my house in London, but if I were in my mum’s position with a 12-year-old boy, I think she wouldn’t be opposed to having live-in staff – she’d probably enjoy the helping hand!
That said, I honestly don’t think I’d want any staff in my home. Maybe I’ll retract that statement one day (I’m not even in a position to have a cleaner right now!), but I really do enjoy having my own space.
So for today’s poll:
As ever, please expand on your answer in the comments.
Picture of the day
For our picture of the day, we’re throwing it back 29 years, as it was on this day – 28 August 1996 – that King Charles’ divorce from Princess Diana was officially granted. The certification stated that the marriage was "dissolved".
I don’t know about you but I love a historical artefact – and this one’s a good one. I think ‘the Princess Diana years’ marked a fascinating period in royal history, and it definitely shouldn’t be forgotten.
It wasn’t just her divorce I found morbidly fascinating, but everything Princess Diana embodied – from her style, who can forget her blue eyeliner, to her down-to-earth approach to being a royal.
Let me know in the comments if you have a favourite period of British royal history…
