Why the Prince and Princess of Wales are a heavenly match
Astrologer Debbie Frank offers a starry insight into the royal power couple
Hello! I’m Ainhoa and I am truly honoured to be sending The HELLO! Royal Club’s first ever newsletter!
The only stars bigger than the royals are in the sky and so it seems apt to start things off by talking to an astrologer. Debbie Frank looks at the stars, for the stars, and was a close confidante of the late Princess Diana. She told me what makes William and Kate such a strong unit and what 2024 has in store for them.
For years, Prince William and Kate have had the public spotlight shone on their every move. But since becoming the Prince and Princess of Wales following King Charles' accession to the throne in September 2022, their new and even more senior roles have pushed them to even higher levels of visibility and achievement.
They have cemented their position as the monarchy's secret weapon, the royal power couple who continue to lean into their causes and patronages and are loved by fans the world over.
We've seen a quiet confidence brewing in Kate who, both literally and figuratively, couldn’t be better suited to the role of princess.
On the international stage, she and William have been entrusted to meet with more diplomats and heads of state. The Princess held an audience with Ukraine's First Lady, Olena Zelenska, just days after Queen Elizabeth II's death, while she and William were on hand to welcome South African President Cyril Ramaphosa for his first meeting in the UK during his state visit last November. William is currently delighting fans in Singapore, where he's attending the Earthshot Prize Awards.
Following the royal reshuffle that moved him ever closer to the crown as the direct heir, William is putting his own mark on responsibilities like the Duchy of Cornwall. He's even learning Welsh, and he and Kate have made an increasing number of visits to Wales, deepening their connection with their titular namesake.
And it seems the parents of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were born to be teammates.
The A team
"Out in the public eye in their royal roles, we see their professional togetherness," Debbie tells me. "They both share a special signature of Mars, Saturn and Pluto in partnership-oriented Libra, so they were literally born to be a good working team.
"With these twin placements they have the same goals, they possess the same work ethic. They bat on the same side. William can be rather more stubborn with his Venus in determined Taurus, whereas Kate's Venus in Aquarius is more the voice of reason. They support each other in their individual areas of interest, neither seeking to control nor to outshine the other. It's a remarkable compatibility on all fronts.”
Born to work and play together
So what exactly makes the Prince and Princess so compatible? Looking at their birth charts, Debbie explains how their partnership – William being a Cancerian and Kate being a Capricorn – is written in the stars.
"William's sensitivity and emotional intelligence are balanced by Kate's earthy and practical qualities," says Debbie. "Yet Kate's Moon in Cancer means she totally gets where William is coming from on every level. Home and family are super important to both of them. They have a mutual compatibility behind closed doors which creates a much-needed safe space for them and their children. It's most definitely marked 'private.'"
"This is no ordinary marriage but carries the long-term hopes of the nation for a couple with a crucial role to play in carving out its destiny as our future King and Queen," says Debbie. "They share celestial pointers which give them the glue and grit required for their public role."
What 2024 holds for William
Next year will be a "game-changer" for the Prince of Wales, Debbie says, particularly from June onwards. "He starts the year in planning mode during January and February as sensible Saturn schedules his responsibilities and commitments. Springtime is high profile with an eclipsed Full Moon on his Mars on 25 March which he shares with Kate, suggesting a team effort. This flows into the Full Moon on 25 April which puts him firmly on the map.
"In May, William rides high as generous Jupiter showers him with the feel-good-factor in terms of personal and public positivity. "
Mid-June is a particular period to look out for when William will be "doing things his way," says Debbie. "Unconventional Uranus makes its once-in-a-lifetime crossing of Venus taking William through the next nine months until April 2025. The great mover and shaker planet Uranus encourages breaking with tradition and creating new initiatives. We can expect William will 'make a difference' and do things his way during this time. The autumn and winter ready William for 2025 which continues to raise his star."
What 2024 holds for Kate
October is going to be a powerful month for both the Prince and Princess and Wales, says Debbie, but 2024 in general will give Kate many chances to shine.
"Although she isn't by nature an attention-seeker, this year is pushing her to new heights of visibility and achievement," says Debbie. "Go-getting Mars in her birth sign of Capricorn ensures she hits the ground running in January and megawatt Jupiter places all eyes upon her work and style to public acclaim.
"As her chart is closely linked with William's, she too will feel a great power point on 25 March with the eclipsed Full Moon on her Mars which escalates their work as a powerful royal couple. The astro placements she shares with William are also hooked into the Full Moon of 25 April, springtime pushing them both into the limelight.
"Summer is calmer before the autumn celestial ramp-up which starts with the eclipsed New Moon on 2 October and continues into November and December."
