Why Prince William's star-studded green carpet moment matters
Emily Nash's debut newsletter unpacks the Earthshot Awards
Welcome to my first weekly newsletter, Royal Clubbers! I’m excited to be sharing my first post on here and I really hope you’ll enjoy it.
After a huge night for Prince William at the Earthshot Prize Ceremony in Singapore, I’m taking a look at why the glitz and glamour of the event are way more important than you’d think, taking a peek at the royal diary, and sharing my top royal recommendation of the week.
Please message me in the comments, I can’t wait to hear what you think!
The Prince William effect
Prince William has taken Singapore by storm this week, pressing the flesh with the President, Prime Minister and a sea of well-wishers – including one exceedingly cute (and hungry!) baby.
He showed off his stamina – and his muscles – on the water when he joined the crew of a dragon boat and has charmed Singaporeans young and old on walkabouts.
Speaking to reporters on the ground, it’s clear there’s a huge amount of affection for the Prince there, not least from a legion of fans who loved his mother, the late Diana, Princess of Wales.
William has grown from the fresh-faced newlywed who last visited the country with wife Kate in 2012 into a confident and charismatic heir to the throne, fast proving his worth as a global statesman.
