I had a fascinating chat with royal insider Phil Dampier this week to discuss the momentous news that Prince Andrew will no longer use his conferred titles.
If we read between the lines, it seems clear that the King was putting pressure on Andrew to come to this decision – just as he appears to be doing now with regard to Andrew’s living situation: supposedly forcing his brother out of his 30-room mansion, Royal Lodge, and convincing him to downgrade to Frogmore Cottage.
