Hello to you all but an extra special hello to our many Royal Clubbers celebrating Thanksgiving in the US and beyond. Given the day, I thought it only apt to share the story behind this marvellous photograph. But before I do, I just want to draw your attention to a Thanksgiving treat we have up our sleeve, the details of which will be revealed by Ainhoa tomorrow.
Throughout her 70-year reign Elizabeth II met 13 out of 14 sitting Presidents, but she had a particularly warm friendship with the Reagans – as you might be able to tell from the image.
The Queen and Prince Philip paid an official visit to California in 1983, following the President and First Lady Nancy Reagan's stay at Windsor Castle the previous year.
The President and the Queen both delivered speeches at an opulent banquet, but what made Mr Reagan roar with laughter?
