Royal author Ingrid Seward delved into Harry and Charles' relationship

A lot has been said about King Charles' 45-minute reunion with Prince Harry earlier this month, when the Duke of Sussex flew halfway across the world to meet up with his father in person following the monarch's shock cancer diagnosis.

I wrote about what their reconciliation meant in a previous post, and if it signals the beginning of a new chapter in their fractured relationship.

But I wanted to bring your attention to a new interview that my fellow Clubber, Emily Nash, did with respected royal author and journalist Ingrid Seward.

Emily chatted to Ingrid on HELLO!'s A Right Royal Podcast last week, alongside co-host Emmy Griffiths. They spoke about Ingrid's new book, My Mother and I, which explores the complex relationship between King Charles and his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II. (It's a fascinating read and was recommended in Emily's newsletter last week).

But the conversation turned to Charles' own relationship with his sons, in particular with Harry, because it's a turbulent one to say the least.

When asked what Charles is making of the whole situation – the fallout and the rift – Ingrid gave a rather surprising answer. You can listen to the podcast extract below, and find out what Ingrid also had to say about Harry's fleeting visit.
