WATCH: When Princess Märtha Louise married Durek Verret
Intimate footage from their special day
Hello Royal Clubbers, it’s Millie here. Somehow a full year has passed since Princess Märtha Louise of Norway and Durek Verret tied the knot in a romantic ceremony covered in a world exclusive by HELLO!.
Right here on The HELLO! Royal Club, we brought you exclusive behind-the-scenes insight into Norway’s wedding of the year and details from the magical day.
In the year since, the couple remain as loved-up as the day they said ‘I do’ in front of friends and family, but some things have changed.
Märtha Louise has sold her home in the wild Norwegian area of Lommedalen, advertising its sale on Instagram, and the duo are making moves in the television space with Rebel Royals: An Unlikely Love Story landing on Netflix on Tuesday.
The documentary is described as “an intimate look at the controversial love story between the Norwegian king’s eldest child, Märtha Louise, and Hollywood’s self-proclaimed spiritual guru, Durek Verrett, as they plan their wedding amidst a media storm”.
To celebrate their anniversary, Märtha Louise posted a gushing tribute to her husband of one year.
“Wow, it’s already one year since we got married. I am so blessed to have you in my life and to walk this path with you. We grow together, we laugh together, and you always see the best in me, reminding me of who I truly am and bringing out my authentic self.
”We balance one another, support one another, and love each other unconditionally. You embrace all of me and more. Your inner light shows me the way to evolve and gives me the courage to stand tall in the face of adversity. You lift me up, yet keep me grounded. Your light outshines anything I have ever known. In the end, love always wins.”
Enjoy the intimate footage of Princess Märtha Louise and Durek Verrett’s first dance and cake cutting and, as ever, let us know what you think in the comments!

I watched the documentary and came into this with an mostly open mind. I know about them only what I’ve read. And I wanted to see how a documentary that they sponsored would portray them.
OmFFFFFg. 🫣 😵💫 🙄. It’s horrible.
Obviously, we want them to be happy. And in the big picture, that’s all that matters. If they are happy with one another and can integrate their families into some level of happiness, that’s what is important. And it seems she has a good relationship with her daughters.
When the show was over, I felt very little empathy for them.
He is a pompous queen, which at least he admits. He is a diva and a charlatan. He may not be evil but he doesn’t live with kindness. There are ulterior motives to everything he says and does. Despite this, he makes himself out to be a victim when he causes his own turmoil. He is a vision of grandeur in his own mind.
For her … well, she got herself into this scenario. I felt empathy for her as she discussed the death and funeral of Ari - and the impact on the kids. But that’s about it.
I wanted to like them. I wanted to understand. I admit: I’m biased about their other-world, reptilian, shaman, cockamamie existence. But I was willing to give them a chance. But it never happened. They never showed a side of themselves that would warrant normalcy.
Congratulations
God Bless your couple and Royal family
