WATCH: LIVE from William's Earthshot engagement
The royal eco-warrior celebrated Earthshot Prize finalists
Hello Royal Clubbers,
Prince William was out banging the environmental drum today at the inaugural Earthshot Prize Innovation Camp as part of London Climate Action Week.
You may already know that some of William's most cherished causes are conservation, wildlife and the environment. He launched the Earthshot Prize four years ago with the hope of finding the most innovative solutions to the world's greatest environmental challenges.
The prize is divided into five categories, and winners for each category are announced at the Earthshot Prize Awards and given £1million to scale their eco mission.
The last awards ceremony took place in Singapore in November. Sadly William's wife Catherine couldn't be there because she was helping Prince George with exam revision, but William was a VIP guest at the star-studded ceremony, hosted by Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham.
At the time, my fellow Royal Clubber, Emily, wrote all about why William's eco awards matter in her debut newsletter, while our local reporter on the ground, Bal, shared videos live from the green carpet, explaining why William was doing an "extraordinary" job.
At today's event back in London, William was once again reunited with actress Hannah, who is an ardent supporter of Earthshot and who chaired the panel discussion that William took part in.
The Prince took the opportunity to celebrate the impact of some of the Earthshot Prize finalists and joked his idea for his venture was born from "a lonely place".
Watch the video below to see what the Prince got up to today and what he spoke about on stage…
