Hi Royal Clubbers,
Another day, another video from me!
Earlier this morning I was at Horse Guards Parade in central London, where the King, Queen and Prince of Wales were on hand to welcome Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan on day one of their state visit.
The red carpet was rolled out and with the sun beating down, the formal state occasion included all the traditional pomp and pageantry expected of a ceremonial welcome.
I was there to see the royals greet their Japanese counterparts and witnessed the Japanese national anthem being played, the Guard of Honour giving a Royal Salute, and the royal party departing in a majestic carriage procession back to Buckingham Palace.
You can watch my video from the ceremonial welcome below, and make sure to check out my newsletter tomorrow, where I'll be writing all about the Japan visit in great detail - including the highlight of the trip, tonight's glittering state banquet!
