Hello, Royal Clubbers, it’s Millie here with an earlier-than-usual post (we’ll send your daily puzzles in an hour)!
Yesterday we saw King Charles step out for a rather unusual outing to Tottenham where he walked into the football stadium to cheers from fans.
Football and royalty do mix more than you might think. We’ve seen plenty of Prince William’s reactions when he goes to watch Aston Villa, and Prince George has joined him on a few occasions.
Unlike her husband and son, the Princess of Wales is rumoured to support Chelsea, while Prince Harry is an Arsenal fan.
The King himself supports Burnley F.C., while Princess Anne’s husband is a Tottenham supporter. He revealed the news when filling in for Anne during an event in Chelsea in 2022.
He joked: "I know that's a rather dangerous thing to say down here in Chelsea, so I may need an escort when I'm leaving."
The King was present at the arena to highlight the Premier League club’s work supporting local businesses, good causes and its collaboration with NFL, so much so that he even picked up a ball and threw it, watched by the longest-serving British NFL player Efe Obada – no pressure!
