WATCH: Crowds react to Prince Harry's homecoming
Isabelle and Emily report live from the Invictus Games anniversary service
Hi everyone,
I’ve been down at St Paul’s Cathedral this afternoon, where Prince Harry attended a special service to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, the Paralympic-style sporting tournament he founded in 2014.
He jetted in from California yesterday and on Wednesday made a high-profile appearance in central London. I was outside to watch his arrival (cue: plenty of cheers!) and to chat to some of the other well-wishers who were just as eager to see him, including many from North America – you can watch my video below.
Meanwhile my fellow Royal Clubber, Emily Nash, was inside attending the service where she saw Harry give his reading, and actor Damian Lewis recite the poem, Invictus, by William Ernest Henley.
Emily will be telling you all about her evening with Harry in her newsletter out tomorrow – apologies, it’ll be a day later than usual, but it’ll be worth the wait!
She did leave a short voicenote for you all though – a little teaser of what to expect.
You can watch my video from St Paul’s and listen to Emily’s voicenote below.
