June is typically one of the busiest months in the royal calendar, with Royal Ascot being a highlight.
This year's five-day meeting kicked off earlier today and saw the King and Queen, joined by other members of their family including Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall, descend on the Berkshire racecourse for an afternoon of equestrian fun.
Cue: a horse-drawn carriage procession featuring the royals, head-turning hats and fascinators (the more over-the-top the better), and some light-hearted betting fun. Not to mention some brilliant facial expressions from keen racegoers and VIP guests in the Royal Box.
