Happy belated Christmas for those who celebrate it! The King and his family were out in force on Christmas Day, attending the traditional service at Sandringham followed by a walkabout to meet well-wishers who had come from near and far.
Alex was on the ground outside St Mary Magdalene church where she had a front-row view of the whole royal family’s outing. But before we dive into the best royal pictures of the week (Alex’s Sandringham edition), it’s time to head back in time…
This time last year…
King Charles delivered his traditional Christmas Day message, recorded in the Fitzrovia Chapel, a former chapel of the Middlesex Hospital, as a symbolic nod to the NHS. In his speech, he gave “heartfelt thanks” to the doctors and nurses who supported him and his family throughout a difficult year of health.
King Charles wasn’t the only monarch delivering an address to his people, as King Philippe of Belgium and King Felipe of Spain also gave messages of hope and support on Christmas Day.
Of course, the British royal family were out in full force for the annual Christmas Morning service at Sandringham Church. I love how the Wales family always co-ordinates their outfits, so George and Louis’ ties match with their mother’s coat, while Charlotte and William match too.
Here’s a closer look at Princess Catherine’s headpiece and hair as she opted for this festive holly-green number and matching hat, looking as stylish as ever.
