Summer is well and truly underway and the royal diary is looking more sparse by the day, with members of The Firm making fewer public appearances. The Prince and Princess of Wales' children have broken up for the school holidays, so don't expect to see William out and about any time soon as he enjoys some well-deserved family time. King Charles and Queen Camilla usually retreat to Scotland this time of year to begin their Highland break too.
For many, the long summer holidays are a time to relax and recharge – and to indulge in hobbies and passions that we may not otherwise have time for during the rest of the year.
With that in mind, I thought I'd take a deep-dive into some of the royals' favourite pastimes, and I'm not talking about Catherine's talent for tennis and photography, or Charles' love of watercolour painting.
