Hello Royal Clubbers, it's Danielle here, filling in for Millie while she takes a well-deserved break.

It's been a jampacked week of royal outings and celebrations, with more to come, you'll be pleased to know.

But before we dive into the best royal pictures and the diary, let's take a little look back at some royal history.

On This Day…

Turning our heads to a more recent time in history, on 14 June 1989, Queen Elizabeth II presented 40th US President Ronald Reagan with a knighthood at Buckingham Palace.

The honour has only ever been granted to three US Presidents – Reagan, President Dwight D. Eisenhower and President George H.W. Bush.

At the time, the President said: "I feel greatly honoured."

There was no dubbing or kneeling required during the presentation as knighthoods for foreigners are purely honorary and recipients cannot be called Sir or Dame.

The late Queen shared a particularly warm friendship with the Reagans. The President and the monarch bonded over their love of horses and he was the first US leader to stay at Windsor Castle in 1982.

A year later, Elizabeth and Prince Philip travelled through a severe storm to visit the Reagans at their California ranch.

The monarch was given a warm welcome as he took part in the ceremony of the keys at Lancaster Castle on Monday. And even had some pearls of wisdom for a 101-year-old war veteran. The Princess of Wales

Princess Catherine stepped out to visit the new V&A East Storehouse in East London, where she learned about the "order an object" system, where paintings, furniture, books and sculptures can be requested and a room set aside for viewing with staff. With a keen interest in the arts and a love of the natural world, she chose a number of items themed around nature, a large William Morris sample book, rolls of ornate textiles and a musical instrument.
