The Queen is central to the royal fold – this week proves it

Well, I don’t know about you, but here at Hello Towers, we all breathed a sigh of relief this week as both the King and Princess of Wales left the London Clinic to recuperate at home.

While Kate’s departure was entirely private, the monarch made front pages by walking out of the front of the private hospital and giving a reassuring wave to wellwishers and the media (more on this shortly).

But what struck me about his moment in front of the cameras was Queen Camilla, who had been a near constant presence at his bedside throughout his stay.
