Catherine's autumnal outfits we can all copy
The Royal Shopper delves into the Princess of Wales' autum wardrobe
When the leaves turn and the air sharpens, few people step into autumnal style quite like the Princess of Wales.
She just has a knack for getting it right when the chillier weather comes into play, and she has mastered a wardrobe that feels both aspirational and attainable.
In the autumn months, she tends to go for chic tailoring, classic outerwear, and carefully chosen accessories that instantly elevate the everyday.
This fall, her style choices are offering us a roadmap to modern regal dressing. The best part? With a keen eye, we can all borrow a little of her polish – whether we’re headed to the office, the school run, or an evening out. Here’s a breakdown of the Princess’ must-haves for autumn 2025.
I reached out to fashion stylist Jennifer Michalski-Bray, who has worked with a whole host of red carpet starlets, and she told me the ultimate reason why the Princess of Wales masters autumnal dressing: “Catherine nails tonal layering, and nothing shouts, everything whispers.”
What would Jennifer style her in now the temperature has started to drop in the UK? “If I were styling Catherine, I’d dial up texture and depth. I’d opt for a chocolate-brown column coat with a statement cinched belt – maybe even a wide corset waist belt that I’ve seen all over the runways this season. Additionally, jewel-toned velvet is always a win in the autumn and there’s a lot of great options out there. Lastly, I love a slouchy, buccaneer stacked-heel boot. Bonus points for a sleek (vegan) leather midi or a tailored cape – still classic Catherine, just with a richer autumn glow.”

The Royal Shopper’s verdict:
What makes the Princess of Wales’ autumn wardrobe so compelling is its accessibility. While her exact pieces may be designer, they are often easy to recreate without parting with too much money. And while I love seeing Catherine looking regal and smart, it’s her casual pieces I find the easiest to slot into my wardrobe. Which item will you be buying for your fall wardrobe?
