Hi everyone, it’s Emily here with my weekly newsletter.
I have been glued to the Olympics coverage from Paris over the past few days and thoroughly enjoying all the royal and celebrity sightings along the way.
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands and their daughters Princesses Amalia and Alexia have been doing their bit to lift spirits, showing a real passion for the sports on display and wearing coordinating orange outfits.
And the Spanish royal family have also been very visible, with the young Princesses Leonor and Sofia joining their parents King Felipe and Queen Letizia to cheer on their national team.
But it raises the question, why are the British royals – apart from the Princess Royal – not in the thick of it too?
