Hi Royal Clubbers,

You told us you wanted more history and we listened! And what better time to delve into the past than at the end of a turbulent week for the UK monarchy (brilliantly analysed by Emily Nash on Wednesday). History has a way of reminding us that, however sensational events of the present day may seem, when viewed through the prism of our past, nothing is really that shocking!

Take William and Harry’s widely covered fallout (read my Thursday comment on it here). They may not be speaking to each other but, by history’s bloody standards, it is mere child’s play.
