Louise should be allowed to focus on her university studies for now. Trying to be present for royal engagements in addition to school would be too much. James is a minor, and also studying, so I don't think anything should be required of them now. I think it's fine for them to be given the opportunity to become working royals when they are done with school, but it should be their choice.
I personally totally agree Rebecca - they should be given the opportunity when they’ve finished their formal education and left to decide for themselves
They are not too young to be shown what responsibility is and it would be good for them to join-in with royal duties. Obviously they have studying to do and interests to pursue, but so does everyone else.
They’re both still studying so it’s ridiculous to think they should represent the Family. I imagine their parents think exactly the same. Just leave them alone.
Yes I’m sure Edward and Sophie are leaving them to focus on their studies, and have always wanted to give them the freedom to choose their path in life
I do believe both should focus on their education. James should do a military stint. It would solidify his position within the royal family. Neither one of them have sought the spotlight and no hint of scandal. James being just 6 years older than George, I can see them working well together!
Interesting point, we don’t see that much of James and George together, but perhaps when the future King is a bit older he’ll be looking to James for support. Maybe a similar dynamic to Prince William and his cousin Peter Phillips - we know they get on very well
Once they have finished their education and if they are happy to do so, Louise and James would make excellent additions to the ranks of working royals. At present, they are too young and their studies should not be interrupted. I also think that the pressure of public life needs to be eased into, so perhaps they could join one or both of their parents on engagements from time to time, like the Wales children do. This would give them training on the job and a sense of whether it is something they would want to do on a full-time basis.
We see more of Louise in public and she does seem to take after her parents in diligence and sense of duty, so I agree, she’d be a great addition to the royal family’s team of working royals. Perhaps she’ll do more engagements during her university holidays…
These two need to focus on their studies. That must come first. However I believe it is in the best interest of the Firm if the junior royals worked in such a way that they are a "next level" employees. They would not be entitled to all the senior Royal money and perks, but to draw a regular salary for the work they do. There are simply too many jobs to be done, and most of the senior royals are either much older, and three are disgraced and are no longer working royals. If the monarchy is to survive, someone needs to step up...
Ithink they should do more to help the King and Prince William helping them in many ways .Iagree with what Rebecca says as well, ALL THE ROYAL family have each a part to help in Keeping the Royal family going They can all learn a lot from Princess Royal anne .And from THE Queen Camila and Prince William .They would all do a good job in helping our King a great deal . In the world we all have our parts to play and so does all the ROYAL Family do .
They are too young and should be allowed to continue their schooling, I fail to understand the idea that others are needed now. Those taking care of business are doing a great job.
It would be a better idea for Lady Louise to finish her University degree and Earl James to continue his schooling and for them to accompany their parents as junior Royals in training where feasible.

I think attending events like Trooping the Colour in the past is a great way to ease them in!

Louise and James should be left in peace to completely finish their education. Louise is at Uni and James still at school.
Also why don't they gave the titles of Prince and Princess, especially as their father Prince Edward is now a Duke. Maybe Hello could discuss this.
Definitely a talking point, we’ve taken it on board - thanks for your comment Gill!
Louise and James should appear more often with their parents, we love to see the younger generations of the Windsor !
Yes it is always nice to see their family outings, even if they are rare appearances

100%!
Ask them what they think.
I’m sure their parents have always had the mindset that they should be allowed to choose whether they want to work for The Firm or not in the future
