The King and the Prince of Wales might want to consider the situation regarding Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie once the health situation of the King and Princess of Wales is known. Now is not the time for the public to voice their opinions. It may well be that the Princess Royal's children, who are also royal but without the titles, can also help in minor roles or later Lady Louise?
Agreed, would love to see more of Zara Tindall and Lady Louise in particular carrying out minor royal duties, as opposed to solely attending non-work related family events. They both have fantastic role models in their mothers!
Princesses Beatrice and Eugene have showed they could cope with doing Royal duties. They now behave and act impeccably. If they'd both like to do more, then King Charles III should add them to the Royal list of working Royals. He could certainly do with the backing and help.
Yes, Beatrice and Eugenie occasionally joined the late Queen for official engagements just one-on-one, so it would be nice to see Charles carrying out engagements with his nieces
I am most definately a Royalist and enjoy reading all the posts from Hello. I also buy Hello magazine occasionally, when there is an event or a person I'm interested in reading about and looking at the photos.
I don’t think they “should” be given a bigger role but more opportunities can be given to Beatrice should she want it. I would personally love to see more of Zara and Beatrice.
I feel the sisters and maybe Zara could help out during this time as they have high profiles and the public would love it, then when the King and Princess are able to come back to public duties they could go back to doing what they normally do. The problem of course is that the sisters have jobs, though I don’t know if they are exactly 9-5 jobs. I just feel like Princess Anne seems to be holding the fort practically on her own, doing so many extra duties! Camilla is doing a great job too. Love how she has grown into her role and how popular she is these days.
Anne and Camilla are definitely holding the fort, alongside the Edinburghs. They're all doing fantastic jobs. Would be great to see more of the York sisters and Zara, but as you say, maybe it's more tricky with them balancing family life with their day jobs, and they aren't technically obliged as non-working royals.
They both seem able to cope with the spotlight... which might help take the pressure of Kate... and their style is beginning to evolve... a useful focus
Yes they have definitely become more confident in their own skin. My fellow author Danielle wrote a piece recently about Eugenie’s style evolution - would recommend reading if you haven’t!
I understand how short handed the Royal family is right now. However Charles should have had
the foresite when he was so adamant about downsizing the the working family. Anything can happen, of course who would have thought Harry would pull his stunts but as in a company’s downsizing - you can cut too lean.
Now scrambling for people to fill in for the princess of Wales - nobody can fill in for her. She is one of a kind and we all pray she is back to 100% very, very soon.
Maybe some of the adult members of the family should be put back on the payroll.
I think it is premature to ask them to take on a greater role as working royals at present, given they have jobs and young families. Perhaps down the track, they could be approached to assist. It is good to see the two princesses have their own causes and charitable responsibilities, as this could be a platform for a full-time role as a working royal; perhaps once William ascends the throne.
I think that the Princess’s of York would be of marvellous benefit to the Monarchy as working senior Royals, they have the skills and training already and Prince William of Wales and Princess Catherine will have need of their assistance in the future, when Prince William becomes King William and those who are currently Seniors have passed on.
Princess Alexandra is still a class act just like The Princess Royal. As I believe Princess Beatrice is a Counsellor of State it is possible she could be brought into a more active role. Personally I would like to see Harry replaced by Princess Eugenie, he is no longer a working royal so cannot understand why he keeps such an important position.
Good point, especially as Eugenie spends more time in the UK than Harry and is very vocal about her charities and patronages on her personal Instagram account.
I think Beatrice should be asked to take on more of a role as a working Royal especially a counselor to the King. Beatrice also keeps herself out of the fray and brings a level of class and duty to the Royal Family. I don't think Eugenie should be included at this point in helping with royal duties.
I think Eugenie is more used to the spotlight and isn't afraid to use her social media platform to promote her causes, she seems more vocal generally. But yes, Beatrice always bring class and I would love to see her out and about more often.

Lady Louise is so young and I have never seen her in a situtation that would groom her for public Royal life.
The queen engaged her cousins, Princess Alexandra comes to mind. I always considered her to be a class act!

Why only Beatrice and Eugenie? If moving in that direction what about Princess Anne's children Peter and Zara?
I think Peter has a job, probably no interest. Zara would be great but has she ever shown interest.
Beatrice and Eugene have shown interest and Charles cut them out when he downsized. I think it is time to add them back.

The 2 Princesses would be a great place to start.

Yes agree, we know how well William gets on with his cousins, so I can see him calling on them for some support under his reign!
