Robert Jobson: the royal year in review
Esteemed royal author takes a look back at 2025's highs and lows
Hello Royal Clubbers,
As we approach Christmas Day and the end of the year, royal author Robert Jobson is here to give us his view of how the past 12 months have been for the Firm…
While 2025 may not have been the King’s “annus horribilis” it was still a challenging year, with both highs and lows, Robert says.
In a televised message, His Majesty said that although he is still living with cancer, he had good news – his treatment has moved into a “precautionary phase” – a more hopeful note for 2026.
He stressed too the importance of early cancer diagnosis and screening. It was “good news”. His doctors were pleased, as was the public.
But everyone knew the real royal story of the year wasn’t the pre-Christmas medical update, but his ruthless treatment of his disgraced brother, Andrew.
