Princess Kate and Queen Camilla's tiaras decoded
Royal jewellery expert gives Ainhoa the lowdown
Hi everyone.
While the highly successful South Korea State Visit came to an end earlier in the week, at Royal Club HQ we're still swooning over the glittering tiaras the royal ladies pulled out of the palace vaults for what Emily Nash described as a “dazzling” State Banquet (read her full post here).
I caught up with royal jewellery expert and managing director of Clogau, Ben Roberts, after the event. Ben gave me the lowdown on the exquisite headpieces worn by Queen Camilla and Princess Kate, and shared the special meaning behind them.
For those of you not familiar with Clogau, they're a Welsh jewellery house whose gold from the Clogau St David's mine in North Wales is used for royal wedding bands. Both Kate and Camilla's wedding rings are made with this rare Welsh gold.
But back to the tiaras.
