Hello Royal Clubbers,
It's Ainhoa with my weekly newsletter and your second Catherine-themed post of the day after Danielle posted the Princess’s wonderful video announcing she has completed chemotherapy.
The video focuses on her husband and children but this post is all about another very important person in Princess Catherine's life – her younger sister Pippa Matthews, better known as Pippa Middleton.
In honour of Pippa's 41st birthday last week, I wanted to do a deep-dive into her relationship with her royal sibling. Because while Catherine, to many, is the Princess of Wales, to Pippa she is simply her big sister.
From the moment Pippa stepped out of the car at Westminster Abbey to fulfill her maid of honour duties at Catherine's royal wedding to Prince William in 2011, the world was captivated by the sisters' tight-knit relationship.
When Catherine became a public figure, and now as one of the most senior members of the British royal family, Pippa was there to offer support and a sense of normality amidst the media frenzy. Their bond has remained the same – and unshakeable – despite the challenges that are thrown their way. It's clear that now, more than ever as she’s gone through treatment for cancer, Catherine, 42, can rely on her younger sister.
