We are blessed with a fine reigning Monarch whose diplomatic skills are readily available and should be encouraged at every opportunity in the current diplomatic dispute with Russia who are waiting to take advantage of any weakness that may present itself. I still remember his eagerness to to take part ever since I witnessed him paying a welcome visit to Binham in Norfolk many years ago.

I didn't vote in the first poll but agree that the King is our greatest asset at this time. William's time will come & I hope that is a few years away. Charles long experience as an ambassador for our country plus the example of his amazing mother has made him entirely fit for the job. I do not believe he should ever abdicate, as was hinted at in an earlier comment. Long May He Reign!!

Thank you for sticking up for King Charles. I was in the 8%--although I love Prince William, he has yet to attain the gravitas of his father. Charles is also very charming, something I think he doesn't often get sufficient credit for. People seem to think of the young, awkward Charles, not the man he is today.

While William is bright, articulate, easy on the eye, etc, and will certainly become one of the most popular Royals in history, Charles has a wealth of knowledge and experience that cannot be duplicated, at least at this particular time.

However, when market research begin to show a need for the next generation to move up, they must be taken seriously and acknowledged. Charles should not overstay his welcome, like President Biden was allowed too do.

I did not overlook King Charles as an asset to the Monarchy. I thought the poll was in addition to him as the greatest asset. His lifelong training as a ruler, a diplomat and very important person on the world stage. His consciousness of the environment and thediplomatic climate make him invaluable not just to Great Britain but to the world as well.
